 Job Summary:

Reporting to the CYFN Senior Analyst - SGS and in consultation with the CYFN Archives Consultant, the CYFN Archivist will appraise, select, arrange, describe, and prepare finding aids for CYFN corporate archival records in all formats (paper, digital, A-V) stored at the Yukon Archives and in CYFN offices, in accordance with RAD or other appropriate archival standards. The Archivist will assess access to information and protection of privacy issues and prepare access guidelines for all record series; prepare disposition recommendations for all records deemed non-archival and present these reports to CYFN Executive to ensure appropriate records destruction authorities are approved, then arrange for secure destruction of the records. The Archivist will supervise a First Nation Archivist Assistant and a Student Assistant who will assist in the identification, arrangement, storage and description of records, including preparation of databases and other finding aids for the records.

Screening Requirement:

A post-secondary Masters degree in Archival Studies or Information Management, including Archives and Records Management specializations or relevant field or equivalency obtained through course work and/or work experience.

Salary:

$68,117.42 to $85,148.06 per annum

Position Status:

Full- time term position to July 31, 2019
