making available documentary sources related to Yukon and northern
history, cultures and development. In fulfilling this mandate, the
Yukon Archives acquires material from all types of records creators,
including government (territorial and municipal), First Nations,
corporate, and private sources. Our holdings represent records related
to events, experiences, and cultures unique to the North, including:
the Klondike Gold Rush, the construction of the Alaska Highway and
Canol project, the White Pass & Yukon Route, the North West
Mounted Police, Beaufort Sea Development, and northern First Nations.
